New Look

Per the survey’s on Facebook, I have made the requested changes. Don’t freak out, I only disabled the BuddyPress features. The plugin is still there for now. I will wait a few days to remove it, just to make sure we are happy without it.

This is the magazine style. As you can see, for it to work, there needs to be a featured graphic attached to each blog entry. That means the authors will have to commit to providing something.

You will still need to log-in for some pages. Linda G Hatton has created a page for Member News with a password and I have put a password on the Calendar page. As a community, there are some elements that do not need to accessible by the world at large.

Now, I would like to change the theme. I haven’t been happy with the current one for a while. There are lots of free themes available for WordPress. Do any of you have a favorite you’d like to recommend?

We have some kind of glitch. All the posts are showing up on all the blog pages, instead of just the assigned category. I will check into it and get it fixed sometime this weekend. Also, the site still seems kind of slow to me….are you seeing the same thing.

If this hasn’t fixed the speed problem, I will be placing a trouble ticket with the Hosting Company.

April, Yes, it’s still slow for me too. Thanks for working on this!

Slow for me, as well. In fact, as it used to be. I like the theme. However many nice themes there are, we still have to choose one.
Lucky, that I know what a featured image is, though, most curiously, that feature doesn’t work on my own blog.
