Welcome to Wordsmith Studio’s Weekly Prompt!
Every Thursday we’ll post a new topic for your creative pleasure. When you get a good flash story, memory, poem, or photo (or three, or five) post them to your blog, website, Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter. Then come back here and post a link to your contribution(s) in the comments.
This Week’s Theme is: Homecoming
Since 2012, Wordsmith Studio has been a community of writers striving to support each other’s writing skills and opportunities. Originally, named the “NotBobbers,” (ask a founding member if you are confused) we continue to help writers grow, create, and connect.
Also, since 2012, @Wordsmith Studio has tweeted, as of this posting, 5,477 tweets. Imagine all that writerly advice and frolic in 140 characters or less.
We have been an active bunch.
To recap, here’s a partial list of some of the events and achievements of the past three years:
A new website, Google + chats, Bar Napkin Poetry, WSS Goal’s Group, Goodread’s Group, Twitter Chats, Read 1 Watch 1, Author Twitter Interviews, Chapter Swap Critiques, New Year’s Eve Bashes, Design Contests, Bitstrip cartoons, WSS’er of the month awards, Badges, Pinterest Boards, Novel Noshing, Literary Pub Crawls, Blog Hops, WSS Paperli, Memoir challenge, Poetry challenges, Weekly Prompts, etc.
Whew! Lots of folks have stepped to plate to make all this happen. Thank you to each and every one!
In keeping with our Homecoming Anniversary, think for a moment about one of your favorite WSS activities. Tell us about a particularly favorite memory.
Or, if you participate in the Twitter chats, go through the archives. Choose a #wschat tweet. Take a screen shot of it. Use it to craft a story or poem.
Or you could take a moment to send a thank you to a WSS colleague. Maybe there a writer who has stirred your imagination or encouraged your writing. PM them or interview them. Write a blog post about them.
Let’s celebrate ALL the WSS members who have cheered us on along this journey.
Happy Anniversary Wordsmith Studio!
