Sarah plays with words as poet, linguist, editor and writing coach; and as facilitator-midwife to the emerging voices of young and adult women. Although likely not born with pen in hand, she has always written her way through life.
Newly-empty nested (but in close touch with her chicks) she revels in possibility, often manifested in a daily practice of six-line ‘awareness poems’ (thank you, Thich Nhat Hahn) and a growing list of published pieces. Her first chapbook of poems was published in August 2011 by Finishing Line Press. She can be found wandering the mountains of Vermont and south coast of Massachusetts with a musing air about her; dancing, singing, or craftily tossing ingredients around the kitchen; or just enjoying the afternoon breeze with pup and Malbec at her side.
She can be found at sarahscapes sharing reflective poetry about life’s nature and what she has learned about balance. She also blogs about writing with Vermont’s incarcerated women at writinginsideVT. You can connect with her on Facebook, Twitter @sarahwbartlett, and LinkedIn.
